Getting started: your first calendar
Tap the + button
On the main screen, tap the add button to create a new calendar. Give it a name, and add a photo if you like, one calendar per child works beautifully.
Pick a day and add an event
Tap a day, then add an event. Choose a picture card for it, such as swimming, a visit, or the dentist, so the day is visible, not just written down.
Let the calendar talk
Tap a picture card and it speaks. Days announce themselves, events say their names, and a day that has passed gets marked as complete.
Your own photos and your own voice
Add your own photo to an event
When you pick an event's image, choose your own photo instead of a stock card. A photo of the real person or place can mean more than a stock drawing.
Record your own voice
Tap the record button and say the words, like "Swimming with Dad." When your child taps the card, they hear you.
The label is always there
Every card carries its written word too, picture, voice, and text together, the same three-way support the whole Choiceworks system is built on.
The countdown
Pick the big day
Birthday, vacation, a visit from someone loved: open the countdown and choose the event your child is waiting for.
Watch the days count down
A clear number shows how many days are left, and the countdown speaks the number out loud in a real recorded voice. Waiting is easier when time is visible.
Timers that keep their word
Start a timer, walk away if you need to
Timers are started, paused, and stopped only by you. When time is up, the device shows a notification and plays the sound you chose.
Pick the sound
Open the gear (Settings) menu and choose the timer sound that works for your child, and remember Android keeps a separate notification volume, so if a timer seems silent, raise the notification volume slider.
Back up your calendars
Tap Back Up / Share Calendar
Open the gear (Settings) menu, find Backup & Sharing, and tap Back Up / Share Calendar. This makes one .cwcalendar backup file with all calendars, events, pictures, recordings, and videos on this device.
Keep it somewhere safe
Save it to Google Drive, email it to yourself, save it to Files, or Quick Share it to another Android device. Restoring a full backup replaces the calendars on that device, and the app asks first. Your old calendars stay recoverable for 7 days after a restore.
Share one calendar
Use the calendar Share button
Open the calendar you want to send, tap the Share icon at the top right, and choose Share This Calendar.
Send a separate copy
The Android share screen opens so you can send the .cwcalendar file by Quick Share, email, Drive, or Files. On the other Android device, opening the file adds that calendar next to the calendars already there. It does not replace them, and it is not live sync.
Print or email the current view
The same Share menu also offers Print this view and Email this view (PDF). Those options capture the calendar view on screen; they do not make an importable calendar file.
The passcode lock
Protect the setup, not the child
Turn on the passcode in Settings and editing locks behind it. Your child can use the calendar freely, tap the days, hear the cards, watch the countdown, but cannot change or delete what you built.
Private by design
Yours, on your device
Your calendars live on your device. Your device's own Google backup may keep a copy in your Google account, and that copy is yours too. Bee Visual does not receive your app content. No Bee Visual accounts, no ads, no trackers, and no app content collected by Bee Visual. Android and iPhone each keep their own calendars; a calendar built on Android stays with Android.
