Choiceworks for Schools

One purchase, no accounts, no student data, and a method your staff can learn in an hour. Everything a district needs to evaluate, buy, and roll out Choiceworks is on this page.

Why schools choose Choiceworks

A picture-based visual support system built on U.S. Patent 8,740,623, "Method and apparatus for developing a person's behavior," trusted since 2012 and updated continuously. It runs on the devices you already own: iPad, iPhone, and Mac from the App Store, and Android tablets, phones, and Chromebooks from Google Play. Endorsed by leaders in the field including Barry Prizant, Emily Rubin, Linda Hodgdon, and Gary Mesibov, featured in Apple's Autism Acceptance collection, and included in ISTE's Inclusive Learning 365.

Student data: there is none

No student accounts. No data collection. No ads, no trackers, nothing to disclose in a breach because nothing is collected. Our Student Data Policy is written to answer district questionnaires directly; because nothing is collected, it is usually all the paperwork a privacy review needs. Boards live on the device (and, if the school chooses, in the school's own iCloud).

Accessibility, documented

Full VoiceOver support, no flashing content, no time limits, and an honest, current Accessibility Conformance Report (VPAT®, WCAG 2.2) your procurement team can file today. When your IT team has questions, write to info@beevisual.com. It goes to Michele Walker, who built the apps.

Buying in volume

Choiceworks is a one-time purchase, never a subscription, which means it works with school purchasing where in-app purchases and renewals fail. Districts buy through Apple School Manager (iPad/Mac) and managed Google Play (Android/Chromebook) using the tools your MDM already speaks. Send us your device models before rollout and we will confirm compatibility in writing.

Clinicians: evaluate it first

Speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, special educators, and AT specialists evaluating Choiceworks for their caseload can write to info@beevisual.com for an evaluation code. Tell us your role and setting.

Training your staff

Start with the guides below, they were written to train a classroom one calm step at a time. If your school wants more structured professional development on visual supports and Choiceworks, raise your hand and tell us your setting; we will point you to the right resources as they grow.
